SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY. The Department of Chemistry invites applications and nominations for a faculty position in organic chemistry. Appointment at the level of Assistant Professor level will be tenure-track. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a high-quality, externally funded research program, and to demonstrate excellence in both graduate and undergraduate teaching. Applications will be considered in all areas of organic chemistry, but individuals with research interests at the organic chemistry/biology interface are especially encouraged to apply.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. The Department of Chemistry at Oregon State University seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. The preferred starting date is Fall 2009.   Appointments are expected to be as Assistant Professor. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or allied discipline, capabilities for developing and maintaining a strong research program, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. Preference will be given to applicants whose research areas include, but are not limited to, organic chemistry relevant to biology, synthesis, materials, and nanosciences.   Instructional contributions to the organic chemistry curriculum at all levels will be expected. Preferred qualifications include a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
